Takeaway
For the 2024 Summer Soirée of Dress for Success Seattle, I created a visual branding experience inspired by the organization's mission to help women achieve economic independence through no-cost programs, development tools, and professional attire.
When I first encountered the organization's vision, the focus on women and summer sparked my creativity. I had always been uneasy with the metaphor of women as flowers, seeing them as fragile and fleeting. But after a hike to Mount Rainier in the summer of 2023, I realized how wrong I was. The snow-covered mountain from my first visit was transformed into a vibrant field of wildflowers-resilient and full of life. Flowers, like women, endure through harsh winters and bloom when the time is right.
Through this design, I aimed to reflect the beauty, strength, and resilience of women-reminding us that, like flowers, they thrive through every season and challenge.
